AFFIRM Programs Recognized

AFFIRM Youth is currently the only evidence-based affirmative CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) intervention for LGBTQ+ youth. It is the only intervention program for LGBTQ+ youth to receive recognition from the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC) and is rated as a promising intervention.

We are excited to announce that AFFIRM Youth has been added to the list of programs and services planned for review by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse!

The Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse was established by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Clearinghouse conducts objective, transparent reviews of research on programs and services that aim to provide enhanced support to children and families and prevent foster care placements.
