Hello! It has been a busy few months for us at Affirmative Research. We are thrilled and inspired as we work with dedicated and passionate clinicians and organizations across North America and globally to implement AFFIRM. As we enter the fall and winter we look forward to continue growing the AR Community. New! AFFIRM Pro

Application Deadline Tomorrow!

We are working with the SOGIE Centre of Excellence to pilot a new training: AFFIRM Pro. This is our much anticipated “Train the trainer” course that will help develop the LGBTQ+ champions in your organization who will be able to provide AFFIRM training to the whole team. Like all of our trainings, AFFIRM Pro is an evidence-based coaching program with a detailed manual that will develop professional expertise to affirm and support positive mental health and well-being among LGBTQ+ clients.

Early 2025 AFFIRM trainings!

AFFIRM Youth AND Adult - Feb 4, 5, & 6, 2025

This interactive workshop provides professionals with the theory and concepts behind the AFFIRM method and offers affirmative CBT treatment strategies for your LGBTQ+ youth and adult clients who are experiencing mental health concerns. Many of you have been interested in both AFFIRM Youth and Adult as you serve both of these client groups, so we are combining the trainings into one with expert guidance and resources to help address similar and particular needs of each of these populations.

AFFIRM Caregiver - March 11, 12 & 13, 2025

The AFFIRM Caregiver online training prepares clinicians who are working with caregivers of LGBTQ+ youth to deliver an affirmative, caregiving intervention that is rooted in compassionate parenting practices. It is an interactive workshop with engaging activities and creative learning opportunities with a small group of your professional peers.
